Food, clothes and donations are needed for an outreach to an orphanage in Baja California, Mexico.
Donations may be made to "Make a Child Smile in Mexico this X-mas" at the Idaho Central Credit Union in Blackfoot. Online go to www.iccu.com online to make a donation.
Lighthouse Assembly of God pastors David and Sonia Treviso received their mission call in December 1999. They have traveled to Baja California at least one, if not twice, each year since then.
When this work started, the Traviso's had traveled to Mexico to visit their families. They were asked by members of a church there if they could help two orphanages with donations of clothes, food and gifts.
"Every time we do it, it is very successful," said Pastor David Treviso. "It is a blessing for them and for us.
"We are blessed all these years to give out by grace what we receive by grace," he said. "Like the Bible says, bless and be blessed."
The Traviso's bring clothes, food and money to two, sometimes three, orphanages. One orphanage has more than 30 children, ages infant to 18-years-of-age.
Donations need to be new with tags or in their original boxes.
For more information, Sonia Traviso can be contacted at (208) 419-5507 for Spanish. David can be contacted at (208) 604-0761.
