A steady flow of people came into Jensen Grove on Saturday to Celebrate Blackfoot. Activities were planned throughout the day with the day ending with a crescendo of fireworks.
Speaking of the fireworks, Dan Given of Blackfoot said, “The finale of the fireworks show was the best I’ve seen—ever.”
Voltstar Productions of Idaho Falls was responsible for the sound. Seven stacks of speakers were lined up along the beach at front of the lake with two more stacks in the VIP section. There were speakers in the Amphitheater and at the top of the hill in front of the Amphitheater as well.
IE Productions of Idaho Falls put the fireworks show together.
Event chair Laura Matlock said, “I have been floored by the community support it took to help put this year’s Celebrate Blackfoot together. As a first-time event chairman, especially for an event of this magnitude, it took a big volunteer committee four months to plan this. We had so many wonderful sponsors, lots of vendors and a huge community turn-out.”
