Broncos win Legion baseball opener

The Blackfoot Broncos American Legion baseball team opened the 2018 season by inviting the Rigby Rockies to town for a good old fashioned double header.
In the opening game, the Broncos rode the superb pitching of Emerson Stucki, who went the distance, throwing only 62 pitches and claimed the win 11-1 in a five inning game shortened by the 10 run mercy rule. He was ably supported by the Broncos offense, led by a three run home run from catcher Jerod Gough the sent the Broncos to a lead that they would never relinquish.
