Bronco tennis ready for districts

BLACKFOOT — On what was by far the best weather day of the season the Blackfoot tennis team closed out the regular season with a sweep of Pocatello.
The Bronco boys won 6-0 and the girls earned a 4-2 win. The Broncos boys head into Monday's district tournament with an undefeated record.

The doubles team of Jacob Harris and Tanner Norton kept their undefeated record for the season intact with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kyler Arnaud and Jacob Bennett. Ryan Kunz and Jared Evans gave the Broncos the doubles sweep with a straight set win of their own.
Daylan Bird took home a straight set win at the No. 1 singles position 6-1, 6-0 over the Indians Andrew Cuno.
On the girls side the Broncos swept the doubles and mixed doubles matches.
Rachel Cannon and Anna Inskeep defeated Pocatello's Amber Alder and Nicole Walker to lead the effort.
Marit Sorensen took home the only singles win for the Blackfoot ladies on the day a 6-0, 6-2 win over Jesslyn Entriken.
The Broncos travel to Idaho Falls on Monday for the first day of the 4A District 5/6 tournament. Play begins at 9 a.m. at four different sites around Idaho Falls.
