Brad Joseph Remer, 62

Brad Joseph Remer, 62, of Arco, Idaho, passed away on June 28, 2011 in Twin Bridges, Montana after doing what he loved, competing at a rodeo.
Brad was born on June 15, 1949 in Townsend, Montana to Clarence Edward “Ream” and Elizabeth Illene Remer. Montana is where he resided, until his parents settled in the Twin Falls area. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1967.
He retired from the Ironworkers Local 732 at the age of 59, after 36 years of service. He worked in various areas around Idaho. Some of the projects he worked on were the Teton Dam and the Perrine Bridge.
Brad met his sweetheart, Pam Covington, while working on the Teton Dam in Teton, Idaho. They were married on September 14, 1973. Together they have three children: Shelly, Shane, and Brandy.
From a very young age, Brad was drawn into the sport of rodeo by his love for horses. He was a member of the IMPRA and Senior Pro Rodeo Associations, where he competed in calf roping and team roping. Brad loved to travel to all his favorite rodeos with the love of his life, Pam.
Brad loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed being around his grand kids and always enjoyed supporting them in their activities. Anyone and everyone was welcome to come spend time and rope with him at his favorite place, the Boot R Arena.
He is survived by his wife, Pam, his mom, Liz, his brother Terry (Bonnie) Daniel of Avon Park, Florida, his three children, Shelly (Alan) Shaffer of Moore, Shane (Shelle Dawn) Remer of Shelley, and Brandy (John) Waymire, of Arco, and his 11 grandchildren, Alex, Hillary, Alyssa, Dustyn, Rocky, Bailee, Brett, Raymee, Brayden, Brenna, and Landyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Ream, and his grandson, Blake John.
Funeral services will be held at Butte Middle School auditorium on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 1:00PM. Visitation with friends and family will be the day of the service from 11:00 am to 12:45pm. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Brad Remer Memorial Scholorship Fund.
