BLACKFOOT — In the shadow of condemnation, the two Blackfoot water towers were saved from destruction Tuesday evening as the Blackfoot City Council was fully prepared to vote for their removal. However, at the last-minute, Mark Baker, spokesman for Bingham Memorial Hospital tossed a "Hail Mary" and informed the panel that BMH would consider saving the structures with an infusion of funds to study and maintain them.
