Huskies spoil senior night for the Cougars with 22-16 victory

FIRTH — Just before halftime Friday night one of the light banks on the Firth High School football field went out with North Fremont setting up for a First and goal from the Cougar five yard line.
After as brief discussion between Firth head coach Keith Drake and the officials the teams moved down to the other end of the field to continue play while the lights came back on.
The Huskies punched the ball in two plays later from three yards out to take a 16-8 lead heading into halftime.

Broncos state hopes still alive after 4-1 win over Rigby

POCATELLO — What a difference 48 hours makes.
In there 4A district 5/6 tournament opener on Tuesday the Broncos fell behind early to Preston and were never able to rally as the fell 2-1 to Indians setting up a win or go home game Thursday at Century High School against Rigby.
Blackfoot head coach Liam Pope wanted his team to control the tempo of the game and posses the ball.
From the opening kick-off on Thursday the Broncos did just that.

Lady Broncos battle to straight set senior night win over Pocatello

BLACKFOOT — With the 4A District 5/6 volleyball tournament being played on their home floor next week, the Blackfoot Lady Broncos were looking to close out the regular season with a big conference win over a scrappy Pocatello team that was looking to ruin senior night.
After one set the Bronco faithful were excited as the team cruised to a 25-14 win.
But it was the second set that showed just how far the Broncos have come this season.

Senior profile: Josey Carter

THOMAS – Walking into the gym at Snake River High School on senior night for the Lady Panthers volleyball team last Thursday there was one lone name spelled out on the gym wall.
Under the painted Panther on the wall in black letters was the name Josey and the number 19.
In pregame warms Snake River senior Josey Carter came out in a grey t-shirt with a wolf on it to signify Carter being the lone wolf of the senior class for the Panthers as they look to repeat as 3A state volleyball champions.
