Myrna Jean Keele, 74, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, Dec, 16, 2013 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Myrna was born on July 1, 1939 in Idaho Falls to Darrell and Melva Goodson Fox. She is a lifetime resident of Southeast Idaho and attended school in Idaho Falls.
On June 2, 1962 she married Darryl Keele in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 15, 1980. Darryl preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2004.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in anything she was asked to do.
Myrna has worked at White Star Laundry and Southland Produce, both located in Idaho Falls.
Her hobbies included quilting, embroidery, crocheting, drawing, baking and doing crossword puzzles. Myrna loved spending time with her daughter, they were best friends as well as mother and daughter.
Myrna is survived by her daughter, Becky (Brady) Giles of Firth; stepson, Jon Darryl Keele of Idaho Falls; brothers, Darwin (Jean) Fox, Irwin Fox, Milton (Mary) Fox, all of Idaho Falls; Calvin (Kathy) Fox of Lehi, Utah; Kevin (Patti) Fox of Idaho Falls; sisters, Louise Cobia of Taylorsville, Utah; Charol Wilkerson, West Valley, Utah; and Julie (Dale) Hansen of Harriman, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Keele; her parents, Darrell and Melva Fox and a niece, Janet Hancock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec, 21, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec, 20, 2013 and again for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
