The Blackfoot Distinguished Young Woman contest is at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center (BPAC).
Tickets can be purchased at Blacker's Complete Home Furnishings, 1351 Parkway Dr., Blackfoot, or at the door. Tickets cost $7 per person.
Competing in this year's contest are 14 Blackfoot High School students.
Alice Cannon is the daughter of Chris and Corenna Cannon and will be singing “Angel By Your Side.”
Megan Moore will be performing a self choreographed dance to “Set Fire to the Rain.” Her parents are David and Trish Moore.
Lauren Jolley is the daughter of Christopher and Tamara Jolley and will be performing an Alice and Wonderland monologue.
Autumn Murray will be singing “Not for the Life of Me” from Thoroughly Modern Millie. Her parents are Richard and Rhonda Murray.
Chelsey Howell is the daughter of Bryon and Marcy Howell and will be playing “Wind Beneath My Wings” on the flute.
Bailey Dann will be singing an old French lullaby called “Crepuscule.” Her parents are Paul Dann and Andrea Galloway.
Quinn Beeson is the daughter of Cary and Tirsa Myler and will be playing “Hungarian” on the piano.
Heidi Dreher will be performing a self choreographed dance to “My Heart Will go On.” Her parents are Dean and Lee Ann Dreher.
Anniken Whitten is the daughter of Sherman and the late Holly Whitten and will be performing a vocal/drama piece entitled “I was Born to Entertain.”
Elizabeth Wheelwright will be performing a monologue from “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.” Her parents are Dale and Shauna Wheelwright.
Shantay Pearson is the daughter of Bradley and Cathrine Pearson and will be singing “You are the One I Want.”
Christy Hudson will be performing a tap dance to “Lollipop.” Her parents are William and Mary Ann Hudson.
Meg Matsuura is the daughter of Raymond and Yukiko Matsuura. She will be playing “Fantaisie-Impromptu” on the piano.
Salome Schafroth will be doing a trapeze performance. She is the temporary daughter of Kelly and Joan Clovis.
