RIVERSIDE - The Snake River Lady Panthers and Marsh Valley Eagles met on Tuesday afternoon with first place in the conference standings on the line and the Panthers would use a pair of first inning runs and a strong pitching performance from Savannah Martin to edge the Eagles by a final of 3-2.
Martin set the stage early for a pitcher's duel and she was matched strike for strike and out for out through most of the contest by the Eagle's starter, K. Carter.
"We played really well today," Coach Kay Marin said. "Savannah was sharp in the circle, we scored just enough to win and we played pretty well in the field as well."
