The first Shelley Family Fitness Day took place on Saturday. Games were set up for kids and their parents alike in the City Park.
Activities available included tire flipping, a kid’s obstacle course, the hoop jump, hammer swing competition and a medicine ball race.
Kids enjoyed the activities.
So why did you do this?
“To get families more motivated to exercise,” Mikel Anderson, Shelley’s Recreation Director, said. “Anyone who wants to, can come.”
Shelley’s next Family Fitness Day is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.
