Shelley Council prepares for ‘Spud Day’

The Shelley City Council members reviewed plans for the upcoming Spud Day at their monthly meeting that took place last Tuesday. The Idaho Department of Transportation and the Bingham County Sheriff’s office will help with traffic.
Shelley’s 89th annual Spud Day is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 16.
Engineer Bryce Jolley, representing All Star Homes, presented the final development plan for a planned unit development (PUD) on W. Oak. This plan included a break-away gate that would provide a secondary emergency exit.
Council members approved this plan conditionally. Approval is dependent upon getting approval for the break-away gate from the mobile home part that is next to the proposed PUD.
