Organizations receive funds from Christmas Tree Fantasy

BLACKFOOT — Fourteen local organizations are sharing in the $27,000 raised during last year's Bingham County Christmas Tree Fantasy.
Susan Nalley, 2010 Fantasy board chair, said they appreciate the generosity of those in Bingham County during the Christmas Tree Fantasy.
"We really appreciate Bingham County and how much they support the Christmas Tree Fantasy, which helps us help these local organizations," Nalley said.
Members of the Fantasy board will be handing out checks in the coming weeks to the following 14 organizations receiving funding: Aberdeen Food Bank, Aberdeen Senior Citizens Center, Bingham County Historical Society, Bingham County Humane Society, Bingham County Senior Citizens Center, Bingham Crisis Center, Blackfoot Bingham County Youth Coalition, Blackfoot Community Center, Community Dinner Table, Idaho Search and Rescue, Santa's Helpers, Snake River Fine Arts, Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency and the Southeastern Idaho Developmental Center.
The Bingham County Christmas Tree Fantasy celebrated it's 32nd year last year. The event has several aspects including a tree auction featuring trees decorated and donated by volunteers, a Christmas tea, Breakfast with Santa and a gift shop. All the proceeds from the four-day event are donated to area organizations each year.
