An angel visits shepherds in one of the scenes during the live nativity in this 2009 file photo. Community church members have brought the activity back this year.
Members of Blackfoot's faith communities have collaborated to put together a live nativity at Jensen Grove on Saturday and Sunday.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. each of those nights. Horse-drawn wagons will take people through the wooded park to view scenes depicting the events that surround the birth of the Savior.
Live entertainment and refreshments will be available next to the warm fires in the shelter.
Organizers encourage people to come Saturday since they said they expect shorter lines that day.
This is a free community event, the Blackfoot churches' gift to the community as we celebrate the Christmas season.
