Lindsay pleads guilty, charges reduced
LOGAN, Utah — Former Bingham County Coroner Kyle B. Lindsay has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in Logan, Utah, reducing felony burglary and drug charges to misdemeanors.
Lindsay was sentenced last week to serve 10 days in jail and one year of probation. He has until Dec. 1 to report for his sentencing.
Lindsay resigned from his position as Bingham County coroner in June and moved to Smithfield, Utah to take over as the Logan city fire chief. He resigned from that position Aug. 4. He was formally charged Aug. 10 with felony counts of burglary, possession of a controlled substance and obtaining a prescription drug under false pretenses.
He worked for the Blackfoot Fire Department in the position of lieutenant/paramedic and supervised as a shift commander from 1995 to 2008. From 2008 to June 2010 he worked for Air Idaho/Omniflight as a flight paramedic.
