Kristen Marie Menta of Blackfoot passed away on Oct. 27, 2013 of injuries sustained from a vehicle accident. She was born on March 17, 1989, daughter of Tom Menta and Helene Siow of Fort Hall.
Kristen lived most of her life in Fort Hall. She attended Tyhee Elementary, Hawthorne Jr. High and Highland High School. She then transferred to Sho-Ban High School, graduating in 2007.
During her short life, she worked at the Carmike Theater in Chubbuck. Kristen had worked several years with the Fort Hall Casino as a Players Club Representative. She currently was a part-time student of the University of Phoenix. Kristen enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping but most of all, she enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two children Madlynne Marie Menta and Thomas Anthony Galloway, her lifelong companion Jeremy Galloway of Blackfoot, her mother Helen Siow, brothers Jon Menta and Jacob Menta of Fort Hall, maternal grandmother Elizabeth Siow of Boise and paternal grandparents Rudolph and Alene Menta of Fort Hall, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Tom Menta and Aunt Oma Menta, both of Fort Hall, and maternal grandfather Vernon Siow of Albuquerque, N.M.
She will be taken to her grandparents' (Rudy and Alene Menta) residence on South Bannock Road in Fort Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at 12 p.m. where she will remain until her burial.
Services will be held on the evening of Oct. 29, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church on C Street in theÂ Fort Hall townsite at 6 p.m.
Traditional burial services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Ross Fork Creek family plot.
