Friends of Blackfoot Library to conduct book sale on Saturday

Morning News — Leslie Mielke Sharing a good book are Sandy Winterbourne, president of Friends of the Library, and Venita Fankhauser, book sale co-chair. The annual Spring Book Sale at the Blackfoot Public Library is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday in the basement of the facility.

Sponsored by Friends of the Blackfoot Library, the money raised goes to support projects in the library, said book sale co-chair Venita Fankhauser.
"We purchased a machine that buffs CDs and DVDs," she said.
"We will also partner with the library for a "Let's Talk About It," seminar that starts in January," said Fankhauser. "It depends if the library receives a grant for this program.
Most books are sold for 25 cents apiece. Friends of the Library sponsor two book sales each year—one in the spring, the other in the fall.
Readers can get lost in westerns, science, science fiction, craft and collectible books. A good selection of large print books and lots of paperbacks are for sale.
A great selection of children books, VHS movies, old textbooks and computer books. Patrons are invited to pick up free books that line tables on the way out of the sale.
The sale also features puzzles for adults and children.
Books for the sale are donated by the library and people in the community.
