August 21, 2013

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) -

A southeastern Idaho woman has died in an all-terrain vehicle crash near West Yellowstone.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the 84-year-old woman from Firth, Idaho lost control of the ATV she was riding as she was traveling downhill on a gravel road in Madison County. She managed to get the ATV back onto the road before it rolled. She was thrown from the vehicle and it landed on top of her.

The patrol tells The Billings Gazette the woman was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

Darlene Beth Bolander from Firth is the woman who died.
