BLACKFOOT - Summer is winding down, the football, soccer and other sports camps are all but over and things will begin in earnest for players, coaches and spectators who relish those cool, brisk fall sports that will be starting in less than two weeks at the area schools.
Blackfoot, Snake River, Shelley and Firth will all begin football practice on Monday, and most of those same schools will have their soccer programs getting underway at the same time.
Sho-Ban may begin a bit later, but all will be under the gun to get ready by Friday, Aug. 25, when the season gets underway for real. All local schools have games on that Friday night and all the coaches want to get things going in the right direction from the start.
