Daliah Karen Uribe Teton, 52 passed away Dec. 14th, 2012, Daliah was Born Sept. 22, 1960 to the Sam & Edith George Uribe in Blackfoot, Idaho. She Married Lloyd Preacher Sr. and they had 1 son, Lloyd Preacher JR. They were later divorced. She remarried Woodrow ‘Woody’ Teton, they had two sons, Colton Reese Teton and Brisco Bailey Teton.
She attended school at the Fort Hall Elementary, and Blackfoot High School, St John Lavene school, and graduated from Shoshone-Bannock Jr./Sr. High School. She also attended Idaho State University and Haskell Indian College, where at ISU she served as Native American Royalty. She also trained as a paralegal in her education endeavors. Daliah was a well known Basketball & Softball player, Ladies Rodeo Bull Rider, Champion Lady Indian Relay Racer, as well as many other outdoor sports. She loved to travel, and was proud and supportive of her boys on whatever activity they participated in.
She is survived by her Parents; Sam & Edith George Uribe, Woodrow ‘Woody’ Teton , Sisters Ernestine (Gary) Ellsworth, Reynelda Uribe of Fort Hall, Rose First, Sandy Telacon of Reno NV. Brothers Leland Miller, Mervin Uribe& Marlan Uribe of Fort Hall, Carl Uribe of Reno NV. Sons Lloyd Preacher JR, Colton Teton, Brisco Teton. Grandchildren Caleb Preacher of Gibson ID, Hailey Jo & Carlin Reese Teton of Fallon NV, Trey Neil Teton of Montana and Numerous Cousins, Nephews and Nieces and Friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jose & Rosey O’Day Uribe & Maternal Grandparents, Mission & Sadie Quagigant George, Aunt Freda G. Batt, Cousins Roberta B. Pubigee, Adrian Broncho, Brently Batt, Lynn Batt, Nephews’ Alfred Pubigee Jr. , Spencer Pubigee, & Aaron Pubigee. If anyone was left out please forgive us.
Viewing services will be held Tuesday Dec. 18th at Hawker Funeral Home at 7 p.m. and Church Services Wednesday Dec. 19th at Fort hall Assembly of God Church on C Street at 12 noon. Traditional Burial Services will be held at Gibson following services. Friend and family may come to the resident of Sam & Edith Uribe on North eagle road Monday Dec. 17th, in the afternoon until Wednesday.
