Bingham Academy showcases science talent

These students at Bingham Academy competed in the International Science and Engineering competition that took place at ISU last Saturday. This is the first year this competition has taken place in Idaho. Competing in the Technology Student Association competition, Leslie Maldonado and Braidon Carson claimed first place in Computer Integrated Manufacturing last weekend at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

Fourteen Bingham Academy students competed in two contests last weekend, both an engineering at the College of Southern Idaho as well as a science contest at the Idaho State University.
Six students traveled to the CSI to compete in the Technology Student Association last Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11.
Bingham Academy engineering teacher Lloyd Sherwood accompanied these students to Twin Falls.
Science teacher Rylee DeVito accompanied eight Bingham Academy students to the International Science and Engineering competition at ISU last Saturday.
DeVito said, "Seventy-two countries compete. Idaho is the last state to host one of these competitions; this is the first time this competition has taken place in Southern Idaho."
