BLACKFOOT - Fall football practice for Blackfoot High School began on Monday morning and nearly 120 players greeted Head Coach Stan Buck as two a day practices began. The football season is less than two weeks away and the Broncos have a lot of work to do to get ready for the season opener against cross river rival Snake River.
Both schools are coming off of seasons that they made the state football playoffs, but exited earlier than they wanted or expected.
Snake River won their conference after losing their first five games and headed into the playoffs with a first round bye, but came up against a buzz saw in the playoffs to bow out under first year coach Jeb Harrison.
Stan Buck's team won their first playoff game at home against the Minico Spartans, but went on the road and lost to end their championship dreams for 2016.
