BLACKFOOT — Ashley, one of the world's largest furniture manufacturers, has brought that quality and expertise to this city with the recent opening of the Blackfoot location, 198 W. Bridge St. "Ashley has spent a significant account of time and research to make this decision," said regional manager Jared Goody. "The opening of this store has been given a lot of thought and we feel it's a very good one."
Despite the deliberations, the time between the "we want this location" moment to the complete store and showroom on Bridge Street was amazingly quick.
"It was around seven months from then until now," Goody said. "But Blackfoot, especially where we are, is a great location. One if the best in town."
The former home of Blackfoot Appliances and, more recently, the Sons of Thunder Wrestling Academy, now houses hundreds of new sofas, tables, love seats, sectionals, recliners and more. "While online sales are growing, here and in all businesses, the need for people to come in and touch, feel see and experience what we have means the brick-and-mortar stores are not going away— at least as far as our stores go."
Goody, a Pocatello native and graduate of Highland High School, has been been at Ashley since 2008 and travels between venues in Pocatello, Twin Falls and Blackfoot.
