Amy Michelle Rodriguez, age 31, of Pocatello, returned to her Father in Heaven on Thursday (Jan. 17, 2013) at Portneuf Medical Center.
She was a beloved wife of Jose Rodriguez. They were married on Aug. 29, 2009 in Pocatello. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Amy was born in Pocatello on July 18, 1981 and grew up in Blackfoot and Pocatello. She went to Blackfoot High School. She was the daughter of Allen York and Terri Palmer and stepdaughter of Kyle Palmer.
Along with her husband, Jose, Amy leaves behind her beloved daughters, Lilly Anna (10), Melodie (8), Estrella (2) and son, Jose Jr. (2). Her brothers and sisters are Melinda (Mark) Burt (Hayward, Calif.), Lance (Sarah) Palmer (Hercules, Calif.), Justin (Courtney) Palmer (Alabama), Jennifer York (Greenwood, Ark.), Lori (LeeRoy) Cox (Blackfoot), Alisha (Travis) Robison (Wendell), Lacie Palmer (Rexburg) and Lorenzo Garcia (Blackfoot), and many aunts and uncles.
Amy had a love for animals, camping and fishing. She enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, and was very artistic. She loved playing games and spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid reader and loved scrapbooking.
The burial took place at the Arbon Valley Cemetery on Cemetery Road (just off Church Road) on Monday.
Services have taken place at the Chubbuck LDS Whitaker North Stake Center at 4890 Whitaker Rd., Chubbuck, at 3 p.m.
