George William Â Dillard, 86, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012, in Arco at the Lost River Hospital.
Funeral services are pending at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
Francisco Becerra, 82, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1929 in Mexico to Mateo Becerra and Felipa Valadez.
He attended schools in Mexico. He lived in Mexico, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Blackfoot for the past 15 years.
He married Victorina Orozco in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Francisco worked as a custodian for ITT General controls. He enjoyed music and going to the park in California.
Mary A. Taylor, 89, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, February 27, 20112 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Lorenzo, the daughter of Edward Hill and Mary Bates Hill.
Mary graduated from Rigby High School.
On March 4, 1947, she married Donald S. Taylor in Dillon, Mont.Â He preceded her in death on April 21, 1991.
She has lived in Blackfoot since 1957.
Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She worked as a lab technician at American Potato and retired after 38 years.Â She enjoyed dancing and camping.
Jesse William A. Whipkey, age 66, had his first appearance before Seventh District Magistrate Judge Ryan Boyer Monday on a charge of attempted murder.
"This appearance is to explain the charges against you," Judge Boyer said.
On count one, Whipkey was charged with attempted murder. On count two, he was charged with extended sentence for use of a firearm or deadly weapon. Both are felonies.
Whipkey could face 15 years in the Idaho Department of Corrections, a fine of $50,000 or both on count one. Count two doubles the possibility of imprisonment and/or fine.
In July 2011, the Idaho State Republican Party put in place a new process to determine the selection of the stateâ€™s delegates to the Republican National Convention.
The new process is a caucus system. The Idaho Republican Caucus is scheduled on Super Tuesday, March 6. The caucus is scheduled in each county.
CHARDON, Ohio (AP) â€” A teenager opened fire in the cafeteria at his suburban Cleveland high school Monday, killing one student and wounding four others before he was chased from the building by a teacher and captured a short distance away, authorities said.
A student who saw the attack up close said it appeared that the gunman targeted a group of students sitting together and that the one who was killed was gunned down while trying to duck under the cafeteria table.
CHARDON, Ohio (AP) â€” A student who witnessed a deadly Ohio school shooting says it appeared the gunman was targeting a group of students sitting at a cafeteria table.
Freshman Danny Komertz says he was just about to leave for his first-period health class Monday when he heard a loud popping sound and then saw the gunman open fire.
He says one student who authorities say was killed was trying to get under a table to protect himself and shield his face.
Komertz says the shooter was known as an outcast who had apparently been bullied.

CHARDON, Ohio (AP) â€” An FBI spokeswoman says five students were injured when a shooter described as a classmate opened fire at an Ohio high school.
Special Agent Vicki Anderson said Monday the shooter was taken into custody near his car about half a mile away from the high school.
A spokeswoman for the Cleveland Clinic says two students were taken to the clinic's Hillcrest Hospital in suburban Cleveland.
A spokeswoman for the Cleveland MetroHealth System says an additional three students were taken to the Cleveland hospital.
There was no word on the extent of injuries.
CHARDON, Ohio (AP) â€” Gunfire at a high school outside Cleveland injured a number of students Monday morning, and at least one suspect has been taken into custody, officials said.
The shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m. at the 1,100-student Chardon High School about 30 miles east of Cleveland, said Civil Deputy Erin Knife of the Geauga County Sheriff's Office. She didn't know the number of victims, but multiple news reports cited four students shot.
Television news footage showed anxious parents escorting children away from a school building, and ambulances could be seen outside.
