Tanda Kay Pratt, 60, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, near Baker City, Oregon, from injuries sustained in a wildlife-caused traffic accident. Â
Tanda was born on May 15, 1954, in Boise, Idaho, to David and Wilma Ogle.Â She was the oldest of four children and the first grandchild on both the Ogle and Waite sides of the family.Â Her two sisters and brother always looked up to her as their strong, brave big sister who inspired them and looked out for them.
Julia Ann Bithell Sconiers Winn, 81
Lorenzo Alejandro Martinez, 84, of Blackfoot, Idaho, was called home on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and his sweetheart of 58 years, Lucy Belle.
Lorenzo was born Aug. 10, 1930 in Laredo, Texas, the youngest child of Juan Martinez and Catarina Soto.Â Lorenzoâ€™s childhood was spent attending school in Laredo, Texas. Â
In later years Lorenzo served in the United Sates Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954.
Helen Merkley Madsen, 87,Â left our world to be with Dad, the love of her life, on September 23, 2014. Â
Born on February 1, 1927 to Chauncey and Rosella Merkley in Blackfoot, Idaho, she was the youngest of four children.Â She grew up on the family farm northeast of Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.Â After graduation, she took a job with the Bingham County Extension Agent. Â
Adell (Minton) Gilton, Corgatelli died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Janie Secrist, surrounded by loving family on 12 October, 2014 in Arco, Idaho at the age of 93.
Bertha May Butler, 83
Bertha May Butler, 83, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 12, 1930 in Salmon, Idaho, to Waldemar Alexander and Verna May Brown Halton. She was raised in Salmon and attended school there. Following graduation, she attended Albion State Normal School, and then went to Ricks College to obtain her teaching certificate.Â
The Honorable Robert Claude Brower died Sunday, October 12 at the University of Utah Medical Center from cancer. Brower was best known as Magistrate of the Seventh District Court of Idaho, serving in Bingham County from 1975 to 1996.
Norris Daniel Randolph, 62, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on October 10, 2014.
Norris was born on December 13, 1951, in Anoka, Minnesota, to Robert Randolph and Ethel Tedman Randolph. At an early age, Norris left home and traveled to California where he enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his service, Norris moved to Idaho where he graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Myrtle Ellen Jepson, 93, our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, went home to her Savior on October 8, 2014, surrounded by her family.Â She was born on August 22, 1921, in Marriott, Utah, to Joseph Henry and Martha Ritchie Gooch. She grew up in Marriott, Utah, and Riverside, Idaho. She was the youngest of 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, all deceased.
Engelbert 'Bert' Wolfgang Schroeder, 80
Engelbert Wolfgang Schroeder "Bert," age 80 was born Oct. 21, 1933 in Rockford, Idaho. He passed away Oct. 2, 2014 at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nev.
He was raised and graduated high school in Blackfoot Idaho. He was a longtime farmer who began farming in Taber, Idaho and eventually moved his family to Winnemucca, Nev. in 1977 to farm. He later was a heavy equipment operator for Hunewill Construction.
In 1958 he married Janet Bergeman from Pingree, Idaho and they celebrated their 56th anniversary this year.
