Woman charged with stabbing boyfriend after salsa argument

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A northeast Ohio woman has been charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend after yelling at him for eating all of the couple's salsa.

Distinguished Dudes

Distinguished dudes will be held Friday night at 7 p.m. at the BPAC. Tickets will be $5 per person at the door.
Distinguished dudes is a fundraiser for the Distinguished Young Women program. This year their will be 13 contenders vying for the Distinguished dude. Last years winner was Benji Bigler.

Man cited following two-vehicle accident which closes interstate

An Ashton man was cited for unsafe equipment following an accident on Interstate 15 just north of Blackfoot on Tuesday.
According to the Idaho State Police, Joseph Pilgrim, 19, was northbound in a Ford pickup towing a trailer. His trailer came unhooked and struck a northbound semi tractor-trailer being driven by Warren Jones, 53, of Pennsylvania.
The trailer came to rest in the northbound lanes. Officers closed down the road in the area of milepost 96 for approximately one hour to remove the vehicles and clean up debris. Neither driver was injured and both were wearing seatbelts.

Community Dinner Table serves last supper of the year.

BLACKFOOT —The Community Dinner Table (CDT) will serve its last meal of the season this evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at Jason Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.
This last supper will be prepared and served by the Blackfoot Rotary Club and will conclude the CDT's seventh season of feeding those in the community who are hungry and lonely.

Grandma is a centerfold: Rest home bares all for calendar

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — The stars of a charity calendar are in their 80s and 90s, but that didn't stop the men and women from an assisted living facility in Ohio from showing a little skin.
Miss March, who's 88, wears a green top hat and not much else in the calendar from Pleasant Pointe Assisted Living, and the centerfolds are two women in their 90s who seem to be playing poker with strategically placed oversize cards.
Flip to February and you'll see a smiling, white-haired Dottie Rutter soaking in a bubble bath and flower petals, with chocolates and lingerie nearby.
